As I dive back into my work after the show, I’ve been doing a lot of research to help inform my work and understand some of the inner workings of nature. I really start to geek out on forestry and the discoveries that scientists are making. One of my favorites is a Ted Talk by scientist Suzanne Simard who explains how trees talk to each other. It’s truly fascinating and just a glimpse into our eco-system. You learn how the forest bed plays a vital role to the trees and the complexity of communication that is happening in the forest.
I’ve watched this video multiple times and each time it leaves me in awe. It's the interconnectedness that really draws me in. These natural systems that are all working together, helping one another and creating this incredible beauty.
